MyGolfShotZ
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 27, 2026
Last Updated: September 27, 2026
MyGolfShotZ is developed and operated by Ensemble Software LLC.
We designed MyGolfShotZ as an on-course tool to help recreational golfers play their game and better understand their own game. Providing the service requires us to collect and store some information about our users and the golf they play. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have regarding your information.
Information We Collect
Account Information
You can use certain MyGolfShotZ features without creating an account. If you create an account, we collect information needed to establish and maintain it, including:
your screen name;
your email address;
a unique account identifier; and
information associated with authentication and account status.
MyGolfShotZ uses Google Firebase Authentication to manage account authentication. If you create an account using an email address and password, authentication credentials are handled through Firebase Authentication.
If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose to share your email address with MyGolfShotZ or use Apple’s Hide My Email feature. If you use Hide My Email, Apple provides MyGolfShotZ with a private relay email address instead of your actual email address.
Golf Round and Shot Information
When you use MyGolfShotZ to record a round of golf, we may collect and store information about the round, including:
date and time of the round;
golf course and tees played;
scores and other round information;
clubs used;
shot ratings;
GPS coordinates for recorded shots;
short-game shot types and ratings;
number of putts;
length of recorded made putts;
whether a saved round meets applicable on-course qualification requirements; and
related course, hole and shot information.
We use this information to save your rounds, allow you to review them later, and create features that help you understand your golf game, including shot, short-game and putting histories and analysis.
Location Information
When you tap At My Ball while tracking a shot, MyGolfShotZ records the GPS coordinates of that location as part of the shot and round information. For users with an account, completed round information, including recorded shot locations, may be stored in our cloud database so that rounds can be retrieved later.
MyGolfShotZ also uses your current location to provide features such as:
calculating distances and yardages;
displaying your position on golf-course maps; and
helping you find nearby golf courses.
Location used for these purposes is temporary and is not stored as part of your account history unless you take an action that records the location, such as tapping At My Ball to record the location of a shot.
MyGolfShotZ also uses location information recorded through supported on-course features to determine whether a saved round meets applicable on-course qualification requirements. This determination uses proximity information to assess whether recorded play occurred on or sufficiently near the golf course and holes being played.
A qualifying on-course round may count toward community validation of golf-course information and may qualify the user for promotional Round Token awards associated with on-course play, course validation, or other qualifying course contributions. This helps prevent fabricated or off-course rounds from being used to validate community course information or receive promotional awards.
Club Information
If you create an account, MyGolfShotZ will store information about the golf clubs you have configured in the app. This allows your club selections to be maintained and restored as part of your MyGolfShotZ account.
Golf Course and Community Contributions
MyGolfShotZ allows users to help add, update and improve golf-course information.
If you participate in these features, we may store information associated with your contribution, including:
your account identifier;
your screen name where appropriate;
the date and time of the contribution;
course names and identifiers;
course, tee, hole and green location information;
requests to add or update courses;
course validation activity;
issue reports and descriptions; and
other information you voluntarily provide as part of the contribution.
This information enables members of the MyGolfShotZ community to contribute to, review, validate and maintain golf-course information used by MyGolfShotZ golfers.
Golf-course information that you contribute to help improve the MyGolfShotZ course database may become part of the shared course information available to other MyGolfShotZ users. This course information will be retained if you later delete your account. Deleting your account does not remove golf-course information you previously contributed that is used by other golfers. Information identifying you or associating your account with the retained contribution will be removed or anonymized as appropriate.
Support Communications

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising or for tracking you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

We may create or use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual user.
For example, we may analyze or share information such as:
number of MyGolfShotZ users;
number of rounds played;

We may use or share aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve MyGolfShotZ, operate the business, evaluate potential partnerships, or describe MyGolfShotZ to partners, service providers, prospective business partners or investors.
We do not intend such information to identify individual golfers.
Service Providers and When We Share Information
We use third-party service providers to operate MyGolfShotZ.

Information necessary to provide these functions may be processed by Google on our behalf.

Information sent in connection with these requests may include course identifiers, search information or geographic coordinates needed to perform the requested course-related function.
Contractors and Technical Assistance
We may allow contractors or service providers to access information when reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot or support MyGolfShotZ.
We expect service providers and contractors who handle personal information on our behalf to protect that information and use it only for the purposes for which access is provided.
Legal and Safety Requirements
We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, security or integrity of MyGolfShotZ, Ensemble Software LLC, our users or others.

If you submit a support form or contact us by email, we collect the email address and other information you voluntarily provide so that we can respond to your request.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information.
MyGolfShotZ uses established service providers, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud, to provide authentication, database and backend services.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We generally retain account information for as long as your MyGolfShotZ account remains active or as needed to provide the service.
MyGolfShotZ maintains a rolling limit on the number of saved rounds retained for an account. This limit may change over time. When the limit is exceeded, older rounds may be permanently deleted as newer rounds are saved. MyGolfShotZ does not guarantee permanent retention of every saved round.
Some information may be retained for a longer period when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement of our agreements, or other legitimate business purposes permitted by law.
MyGolfShotZ maintains backup copies of information for disaster recovery. Information deleted from the active service, including older rounds removed under the rolling round-history limit, may remain temporarily in backup copies until those backups expire under our backup retention schedule.
Information contained in backups is maintained for disaster recovery and is not intended to be restored to active use except when necessary to recover from data loss or another system failure.
Account and Data Deletion
You can initiate deletion of your MyGolfShotZ account from within the app.
Deleting your account deletes the private MyGolfShotZ information associated with the account, including your cloud-stored account information, saved rounds and other user-owned private data. Your Firebase Authentication account is also deleted.
If you used Sign in with Apple, MyGolfShotZ also follows the applicable process for revoking the associated Sign in with Apple authorization.
Golf-course information that you contributed to the shared MyGolfShotZ course database will be retained after account deletion when that information is used by other golfers. Information identifying you or associating your account with the retained contribution will be removed or anonymized as appropriate.
As described above, deleted information may remain temporarily in disaster-recovery backups until those backups expire.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights concerning your personal information. These may include rights to:
request access to personal information we hold about you;
request correction of inaccurate information;
request deletion of personal information;
object to or restrict certain processing;
request a portable copy of certain information; or
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights may vary depending on your location and may be subject to exceptions provided by law.
You may delete your MyGolfShotZ account using the account deletion feature within the app.
